Located in Budapest, HUNGEXPO is Hungary's largest exhibition center, integrating modern exhibition and conference facilities and is one of the most prominent multi-functional exhibition landmarks in Central Europe. After a renovation project costing €170 million, HUNGEXPO reopened to the public in 2021.
One of the highlights of this renovation project is the multi-functional hall, equipped with 43 movable platforms and accommodating over 2,000 people. With a single touch, the space can be instantly transformed: from a spacious open seating area and a tiered theater-style layout to a professional stage with a band performance area, it can be arranged as desired. This innovative multi-functional hall was designed by the Hungarian firm Gepber Szinpad.

The mechanical components enabling this function must be cleverly concealed beneath the floor. Within the limited installation space, the solution must balance safety, reliability, long lifespan, and low maintenance. Furthermore, the requirement for the rear seats to be able to rise to a height of 5 meters further increases the complexity of the technical implementation. Simultaneously, the operation of the lighting and audio systems relies on the laying of a large amount of cabling. In summary, our goal is to design a system solution that extends maintenance intervals while minimizing installation time.

In the early stages of project preparation, both parties thoroughly considered the surrounding environmental conditions and the characteristics of the mechanical equipment, and developed a cable routing solution that was both space-saving and ensured safety and reliability. After overcoming the challenges of testing and installation in multiple complex locations, we finalized the design plan and successfully launched the project. The core highlight of this project is the plug-and-play assembly cable chain system, encompassing E4.42 and E2 series cable chains, and incorporating the chainflex® series control, power, and bus cables, perfectly ensuring smooth seat movement and stable, continuous operation of the mechanical components.
