How can we maximize battery utilization?

Electric vehicles are one of our main modes of transportation. Because they are affordable, they are accessible to people of all income levels. Even those who own cars usually have one at home, highlighting their undeniable convenience. However, the biggest problem with electric vehicles is their short battery life. This makes them less convenient for longer trips, and the longer they are used, the worse the battery becomes. A battery that used to travel 50-60 kilometers might only last 10-20 kilometers after two or three years.

When you buy a car, the salesperson will tell you that the electric car battery can last for two or three years without needing to be replaced. But in reality, you only find out after a year that the power is noticeably lacking, and the driving range is getting closer and closer. You really want to replace the battery.

In the past, we would add battery fluid to replenish the battery and repair it. But now electric vehicles use fully sealed batteries, which are considered safer to use. Actually, this is just a way to fool laymen. Once you take it apart, it's still the same battery pack as before, just with the whole battery placed in a box.

So theoretically, you can add battery fluid. You can buy battery replenishing fluid; it costs 2 yuan a bottle, available at motorcycle parts markets, about 450 ml. One bottle is generally enough to repair one electric scooter, a set of four batteries. The cost of 2 yuan can yield a profit of over 200 yuan, which is why so many electric scooter repair shops advertise trade-ins for 200 yuan—because the cost is really low.

After purchasing correction fluid, first pry open the cover on the battery. You'll see six small holes. Use a syringe to inject about 25 ml of correction fluid into each hole. Wipe away any leaks around the hole, replace the cap, and apply absorbent cotton. Wrap the battery securely with tape. This should extend your battery's lifespan by another two years. Did we learn something?
