Mobile phones have become one of the most frequently used electronic products in people's daily lives. Their functions have expanded far beyond making calls and sending/receiving text messages; people now use them to connect to the internet, chat with friends, watch videos, read news, and more. With increasing usage, battery consumption is also rising. Many mobile phones, designed with battery durability in mind, often include a sleep mode. So, how do you activate a phone in sleep mode?
Tools/Materials
One battery for the phone when not charging, and one battery when fully charged.
Two metal wires
One mobile phone, one charger of the same model, and one power socket.
Methods/Steps
1. Connect the positive terminal of battery A to the positive terminal of battery B using two wires.
2. Connect the negative terminal of battery A to the negative terminal of battery B.
3. Hold this position for one minute to complete the operation. Insert battery A into the phone, then connect the charger to the phone. You should then see the phone display that it is charging.
Precautions
Do not touch the battery contact wires directly with your hands.
Be careful not to mix up the positive and negative terminals.
The phone battery enters sleep mode after being left unused for a long time.
Solutions for Xiaomi phone battery automatically going into sleep mode (not charging):
1. Activate the battery by charging it for 30 minutes with a low-voltage charger. You can also charge it via a computer USB port or a power bank.
2. Use the original charging cable to connect to a power source for charging. Do not use the phone while it is charging.
3. Simply standby and charge. Unplug the power cord immediately after charging is complete.
It seems that to protect the battery, Xiaomi phones stop charging and enter automatic sleep mode when the phone automatically shuts down. This is manifested by the indicator light flashing red rapidly or not lighting up at all. Xiaomi customer service explains that it should wait 10 minutes after plugging in the power source before charging. However, this is often not the case; sometimes it doesn't charge even after waiting overnight.
Sometimes there are emergencies where you need to charge your phone immediately. Here's a solution:
1. Connect the Xiaomi phone to the power cable. Normally, the indicator light will not respond or will flash rapidly. At this point, open the back cover and remove the battery.
2. If the screen displays the power-on interface, charging is successful and you can charge normally. Reinstall the battery; the indicator light should flash slowly during normal charging. If not, remove the battery again. Normally, it takes no more than one attempt to succeed, and usually no more than three attempts are needed.
3. Once charging is successful, the device will display the normal charging interface. It is recommended to wait until the battery level reaches at least 4% before turning it on, even in an emergency.
