1. The fastest way to test a lithium-ion battery is to test its internal resistance and maximum discharge current. High-quality lithium-ion batteries have very low internal resistance and a large maximum discharge current. Using a multimeter with a 20A range, directly short-circuit the two electrodes of the lithium-ion battery. The current should generally be around 10A, or even higher, and should remain relatively stable for a period of time; this indicates a good battery.

2. Examine the appearance; the overall appearance is more substantial. For example, lithium-ion battery devices with a capacity of around 2000mAh tend to be larger. The workmanship is also more refined, or the packaging appears more substantial.

3. Check the hardness; you can gently squeeze or moderately pinch the middle part of the lithium-ion battery device. If the hardness is moderate and there is no soft squeezing feeling, it proves that the lithium battery cell is a relatively high-quality cell.

4. Check the weight; remove the outer packaging and feel the weight of the battery. If it is heavy, it is a high-quality battery cell.

5. If the battery terminals do not get hot after discharging continuously for about 10 minutes during the operation of the lithium-ion battery equipment, it proves that the battery protection board system is perfect. Generally, lithium-ion battery equipment with a high-quality protection board is of better quality than ordinary lithium-ion battery equipment.

The performance testing of lithium-ion batteries mainly includes power supply, internal resistance, capacity, internal threads, self-discharge rate, cycle life, sealing performance, safety performance, storage performance, appearance, etc. Other tests include overcharge, over-discharge, solderability, corrosion resistance, etc. When selecting a battery testing system, the capacity range and required voltage range of the battery or battery pack to be tested should be considered. Battery testing systems can be divided into micro-current range equipment and high-current range equipment according to the current range.
