Correct charging method for polymer lithium-ion batteries
1. Please check the temperature while charging.
In low-temperature environments, the low-temperature protection mechanism of polymer lithium-ion batteries prevents chemical reactions from occurring within the battery, thus preventing charging or slowing down the charging speed. At high temperatures, the battery becomes unstable and may even explode!
2. The frequency of charging should be small and frequent.
There's a saying that every phone battery has a fixed number of charging cycles, and that charging too many times will accelerate battery aging and damage! This is actually incorrect. Like humans, polymer lithium-ion batteries benefit from frequent, smaller charging cycles; in fact, frequent charging is slightly beneficial for the battery!
3. Does the new battery need to be activated?
This was done for older batteries, but it's no longer necessary for modern polymer lithium-ion batteries!
4. Do not charge for too long.
There's no need to charge it for a full 12 hours; just charge it like you would any other time!
