Maintenance methods for power lithium-ion battery packs
① Regular Inspection: If the driving range of an electric vehicle suddenly drops by more than ten kilometers in a short period of time, it is very likely that at least one battery in the lithium-ion battery pack has a short circuit, such as a broken cell, softened plates, or shedding of active material from the plates. In this case, it should be taken to a professional battery repair shop for inspection, repair, or replacement. This can relatively extend the life of the power lithium-ion battery pack and save costs to the greatest extent.
② Do not short-circuit the positive and negative terminals of the power lithium-ion battery pack directly. Prevent any metal or other conductive object other than the battery terminal clamping bolts and conductive strip from contacting the positive and negative terminals of the power lithium-ion battery. This operation may result in personal injury or property damage.
③ Pay attention to temperature: Power lithium-ion battery packs must not be exposed to high temperatures. If the temperature exceeds 60 degrees Celsius, the battery should be moved in time. Excessive temperature will not only damage the internal structure of the battery, but also cause some dangers.
④ Usage Notes: When using power lithium-ion battery packs, for safety, always connect them in parallel before connecting them in series. If you purchased a custom-made battery pack, you don't need to worry about this. However, if you made your own lithium-ion battery pack, you must pay attention to the series and parallel connection procedures.
