Proper installation, use, and maintenance of lead-acid batteries
1. Battery connection
● Batteries with different capacities, performance levels, or manufacturers should not be connected together for use.
● Only batteries or battery packs with the same actual capacity can be connected in series.
● Only batteries or battery packs with the same actual voltage can be connected in parallel.
● Use appropriate wires for battery connection and lead-out.
● Always disconnect the power supply before connecting, otherwise there is a risk of electric shock or even explosion.
● The positive and negative terminals must not be reversed or short-circuited, otherwise the battery will be severely damaged or even explode.
● Ensure the terminal bolts are tightly connected to prevent sparks; if the contact surfaces are oxidized, they can be cleaned with baking soda solution.
● Newly installed battery packs should be float-charged for 72 hours before use to ensure internal battery charge equalization before testing or use.
2. Charging and discharging of the storage battery
● Setting the charging voltage when using float charging
(1) The 2V series batteries are 2.26~2.28V/unit (25℃)
(2) The 6V and 12V series batteries have a voltage of 2.27~2.30V per cell (25℃).
(3) The temperature compensation coefficient is 3 mV/℃ per cell.
