Correct usage of lithium-ion battery packs for electric vehicles
1. Lithium-ion battery packs in electric vehicles should be charged as soon as possible after use to keep the battery at a full charge level. Periodically performing a deep discharge of the battery can also help "activate" it and slightly increase its capacity.
2. Charge daily. Even if your electric vehicle's lithium-ion battery pack can last 2 to 3 days on a single charge, it is still recommended that you charge it daily. This is because used lithium-ion batteries are in a shallow cycle state, and daily charging will extend the lifespan of the electric vehicle's lithium-ion battery.
3. Use the original charger whenever possible. Generally, avoid changing the charger unless you are certain of its functionality. Also, do not remove the speed limiter from the controller. While removing the speed limiter may increase the vehicle's speed slightly, it will reduce battery life.
4. Storage of lithium-ion battery packs. When the battery is not in use for a long time, disconnect it from the vehicle and periodically recharge it to prevent self-discharge or over-discharge by the protection board.
5. Prevent high-temperature charging. Do not charge lithium-ion batteries in environments with temperatures exceeding 40 degrees Celsius, as high temperatures will cause battery capacity to degrade.
6. When using lithium-ion battery packs for electric vehicles, strictly adhere to the precautions in the instruction manual. When not in use, store lithium-ion batteries in a cool, ventilated place, avoiding high temperatures and humidity. Avoid riding in rainy weather as much as possible; even if riding, take precautions to prevent water from entering the lithium-ion battery. Do not strike, puncture, step on, modify, or expose the battery to direct sunlight. Do not place the battery in microwave, high-voltage, or other similar environments.
7. It's best to use a smart socket. Many lithium-ion battery electric vehicle users charge their vehicles when they get home from get off work and unplug them when they go to work the next day. However, most chargers cannot guarantee 100% automatic power-off when the lithium-ion battery is fully charged. The best solution is to purchase a smart socket and set the charging time, thus solving the problem of restful sleep at night.
