The correct way to use lithium-ion batteries in electric vehicles is as follows:
1. The battery does not need to be activated.
The lithium-ion batteries used in our company should not be charged for more than 12 hours for the first three times.
2. Battery charging
Use the charger specified by the manufacturer to charge the battery. When charging, make sure that the charger model matches the battery model.
3. Prevent high-temperature charging
Do not charge lithium-ion batteries in environments with temperatures exceeding 40°C, as high temperatures will cause battery capacity to degrade.
4. Charge in a timely manner
For lithium-ion batteries, try to charge them as needed to avoid letting the battery run low on voltage before recharging, which can greatly extend battery life.
5. Storage
When the battery is not in use for an extended period, disconnect it from the vehicle and periodically recharge it to prevent self-discharge or over-discharge by the protection board.
