Correct charging method for lithium-ion batteries
Method 1: Before leaving the factory, lithium-ion batteries undergo activation and pre-charging, so they all have residual power. Lithium-ion batteries are charged according to the adjustment period, which requires 3 to 5 complete charge and discharge cycles.
Method 2: Before charging, do not intentionally discharge the lithium-ion battery, as improper discharge can damage it. When charging, use slow charging as much as possible and minimize fast charging; do not charge for more than 24 hours. The battery's internal chemicals will only be fully activated and reach optimal performance after three to five complete charge-discharge cycles.
Method 3: Please use the original manufacturer's or a reputable brand charger. Lithium-ion batteries must be charged with a dedicated lithium-ion battery charger and the instructions must be followed. Otherwise, the battery may be damaged or even dangerous.
Method 4: If the newly purchased battery is lithium-ion, the first 3-5 charges are generally called the adjustment period, and it should be charged for more than 14 hours to ensure that the activity of lithium ions is fully activated. Lithium-ion batteries do not have a memory effect, but they have strong inertia. They should be fully activated to ensure that they can achieve the best performance in future use.
Method 5: Lithium-ion batteries must be charged with a dedicated charger; otherwise, they may not reach full charge, affecting their performance. After charging is complete, avoid leaving the battery on the charger for more than 12 hours. When not in use for extended periods, the battery should be separated from the portable electronic device.
Correct charging method for lead-acid batteries
1. Choose the right charger. When charging lead-acid batteries, it is best to use the original charger, as this will reduce wear and tear on the battery.
2. Charging environment: Lead-acid batteries generate heat during charging, so the charger should be placed in a well-ventilated, open area. Never cover the charger with anything while charging, as this can damage the charger and battery, or even cause a fire.
3. Charging time: When using lead-acid batteries, you should get into the habit of charging them on the same day you use them. Do not wait until the battery is completely drained before charging, so as to avoid shortening the battery life due to deep discharge. If a fully charged battery is not used for a long time, it should be charged once a month.
4. Charging daily will keep the battery in a cycle state, which will extend the life of lead-acid batteries.
