1. Prevent over-discharge. Try not to use your phone when the battery level is below 20%, and especially not below 5%, as this will cause irreversible damage to the battery.
2. Avoid overcharging. Overcharging and over-discharging can severely damage a phone's lithium-ion battery. The ideal state for a lithium-ion battery is when it has about 40% charge remaining. At this level, the battery voltage is neither too high nor too low. The higher the charge level, the faster the battery degradation. A 100% battery left for a month will experience greater capacity degradation than a 50% battery left for the same month. Avoid keeping the battery at 100% charge for extended periods, as this will also affect its lifespan.
3. Avoid using the phone at high or extremely low temperatures. Charging at both high and low temperatures can cause significant damage to the phone's lithium-ion battery. High temperatures may cause the battery to explode, while low temperatures will also greatly affect the lifespan of the lithium-ion battery.
4. Prevent your phone's lithium-ion battery from being completely dead for extended periods. If the battery remains dead for too long, your phone may never be able to power on again.
5. Use the original mobile phone charger to check the battery's lifespan and warranty period, and replace the lithium-ion battery in a timely manner.
It's important to note that lithium-ion batteries enter a dormant state after being stored for a period of time, at which point their capacity is lower than normal, and their usage time is shortened. However, lithium-ion batteries are easily activated; just 3-5 normal charge-discharge cycles will activate the battery and restore its normal capacity. Due to the inherent characteristics of lithium-ion batteries, they have virtually no memory effect.
Therefore, new lithium-ion batteries in users' mobile phones do not require special methods or equipment during the activation process. Not only is this true in theory, but based on my own experience, the best approach is to use the standard charging method from the beginning for natural activation.
