[b][align=center]The Application of a New Global Optimization Algorithm in Linear Induction Motor Optimum Design JIA Hong-xin, YE Yun-yue, LIN Rui-guang (Zhejiang University, Hangzhou 310027, China)[/align][/b] Abstract: This paper introduces a new global optimization algorithm—the Domain Elimination Algorithm (DEA)—into the optimization design of a motor. Considering the specific characteristics of motor optimization problems, a hybrid penalty function method and a modified Powell method are proposed for local optimization. Applying this algorithm to the optimization design of a linear motor significantly improves its performance indicators and exhibits fast convergence speed.
