Research on Energy-Saving Optimization Control System for Camp Boiler Heating

Abstract : This paper details the energy-saving optimization control measures for an existing gas-fired boiler heating system, using advanced technologies such as microprocessor control modules, climate compensators, and frequency converters, with a military barracks as a pilot unit. The upgrade addresses energy waste, reduces heating costs, and achieves significant energy savings. This approach is also applicable to energy-saving retrofits of coal-fired boiler heating systems. With social progress and economic development, the contradiction between energy supply and demand is becoming increasingly prominent, making energy conservation a critical task for the entire society. Currently, a comprehensive survey of heating systems in some military barracks reveals numerous drawbacks due to the lack of effective automatic detection and control devices, hindering the adoption of effective energy-saving measures. This results in significant energy waste, persistently high operating costs, and a trend of increasing annually. In response to this situation, the General Logistics Department has proposed the construction of energy-saving demonstration barracks. Currently, there are few energy-saving heating control technologies on the market. Companies like Danfoss of Denmark and Siemens of Germany are leaders in this field, but their equipment is expensive, and their core technologies are not publicly disclosed. Most existing domestic control systems focus on equipment safety and ease of control, limiting themselves to the control of boiler room equipment or the extensive management of individual devices. They fail to consider the heating system as a whole, monitoring its main equipment and parameters, and lack remote monitoring of key buildings and user room temperatures. This makes it impossible to accurately grasp the system's heating level and quality, forcing operators to adjust the heating output based on experience. To address this situation, the author, in collaboration with a military unit, developed the "Barracks Boiler Heating Energy-Saving Optimization Control System" project. This control system possesses independent intellectual property rights and features scientifically sound adjustment, stable and reliable operation, making it suitable for widespread application in military barracks.
