Abstract : This paper focuses on the application of domestically produced multi-level high-voltage frequency converters in Gengjing Water Plant of Shengli Oilfield Water Supply Company. The application results show that using domestically produced high-voltage frequency converters to speed-regulate and save energy on the water supply pump equipment of the water plant has significant technological progress and economic benefits.

1 Introduction
Gengjing Water Plant is one of the water plants under Shengli Oilfield Water Supply Company, with a designed daily water supply capacity of 300,000 tons. The water supply pump station is equipped with 10 water pump units. Among them, units 1#, 2#, 3#, 4#, 5#, and 6# are 550kW/6kV, and units 7#, 8#, 9#, and 10# are 355kW/6kV. Before the renovation, all of them operated at a fixed speed, and the water flow was adjusted by regulating the opening of the outlet valve of the water pump, resulting in a large amount of electricity being wasted on the valves. In order to reduce losses and improve water supply capacity, the water plant decided to carry out speed regulation renovation using frequency converters.
After extensive research and investigation, Shengli Oilfield Water Supply Company concluded that the Fengguang brand JD-BP3 7 high-voltage frequency converter is a direct high-to-high voltage source frequency converter. It adopts a series power unit configuration, resulting in fewer harmonics, a high power factor, and suitability for ordinary asynchronous motors. It also features a user-friendly interface, timely and comprehensive services, and excellent cost-effectiveness. Ultimately, the Fengguang brand JD-BP3 7 high-voltage frequency converter produced by our company was favored by the water supply company.
