Abstract : This paper introduces the selection, basic structure, energy-saving principle, and field application of frequency converters. It provides a scientific basis and valuable experience for our plant to achieve significant results in saving energy, enhancing automation control, and improving work efficiency. It also provides insights into the working principle, installation, use, and operation of frequency converters. Keywords : Frequency converter; selection; application Exhaust fans and crushers are among the main energy-consuming equipment in coking power plants. Therefore, reducing the energy consumption of exhaust fans and crushers is an effective way for plants to reduce costs and improve market competitiveness. Henan Shenhuo Coal and Power Company's coking power plant has installed frequency converters in its forming, raw material, and storage and transportation workshops. These converters do not generate starting inrush current on the network voltage and can start at full voltage without requiring equipment startup. After implementation, the plant has achieved significant results in saving energy, enhancing automation control, and improving work efficiency. 1.
