Abstract: This paper mainly introduces the comprehensive application of Delta touch screen, PLC and Delta M-series frequency converter in the control system of embossing capping machine, and focuses on the program design of automatic frequency change and start-stop control between PLC and frequency converter through 485 communication interface. For packaging lines with a single bottle type, unequal-pitch screw conveyors are mostly used for bottle feeding. However, for multi-bottle production lines, unequal-pitch screws cannot be used because they often need to adapt to bottles of different diameters and shapes. When bottle feeding is discontinuous, the impact of the bottle feeding disc can easily cause bottle jamming and breakage. To ensure stable bottle feeding in multi-bottle embossing and capping machines, continuous bottle feeding is required at the feeding end during production. The speed of the embossing and capping machine must be slower than that of the front-end packaging equipment. If the speed mismatch occurs, the capping machine speed needs to be adjusted. If there are too few bottles at the front end of the capping machine, it needs to be stopped and waited. After a certain number of bottles accumulate, it needs to be restarted. In the past, these operations were adjusted by operators according to the actual situation on site. Often, due to negligence, bottle jamming and breakage occurred, causing the production line to stop. To completely solve this problem, our company adopted mechatronics technology in the production of multi-bottle embossing and capping machines, thus solving this problem.
