Application of variable speed quantitative feeder in raw material batching

Abstract : This paper introduces the structural principle, composition characteristics, control method, maintenance and calibration of the variable speed quantitative feeder, as well as its application in actual production. Keywords : raw material batching; variable speed feeder; frequency converter; sensor [b]Introduction[/b] Batching scales are one of the key links in the process control and quality control of cement production. In particular, the selection of raw material batching scales directly affects the stability of raw material quality and clinker calcination, which directly affects the quality of cement products. At the same time, it is also an important technical means to realize the automation of the production process, safe and stable production, and energy saving and consumption reduction. Therefore, it is crucial to optimize the design and select advanced, mature, economical and practical feeding and metering equipment. The variable speed quantitative feeder (hereinafter referred to as variable speed feeder) is a continuous feeding dynamic metering device that integrates feeding and conveying, weighing and metering and quantitative control functions. It mainly consists of a scale body, weighing and speed sensors, weighing controller, etc. In 2002, our factory upgraded the raw material batching system and selected the TDG-V type variable speed quantitative feeder produced by Hefei Jinshan Electrical Automation Equipment Factory. This scale saves approximately 10% more electricity than the original constant-speed quantitative feeder scale, and its reliability, stability, and accuracy are also significantly improved. 1. Control Principle The signal output from the weighing sensor of the quantitative feeder is processed by the SPU signal processing unit (comprising signal amplification, filtering, voltage/current conversion and amplifier, sensor power supply circuit, etc.), and a 0-20mA current signal is output and sent to the load input interface of the MULCONT microcomputer controller. After conversion by a 12-bit AD chip, it is sent to the main unit. The speed of the feeder's drive motor is measured by a speed sensor and processed by the LH03 module of the MULCONT microcomputer controller before being sent to the main unit. The host CPU calculates and compensates the collected load and speed signals to obtain the actual instantaneous flow rate. This flow rate is compared with the given flow rate, and after preset adjustment and PID calculations, one or more standard analog signals (0-10V) are output from the D/A converter as needed. This signal value is directly input to the control terminals of the frequency converter to change the speed of the drive motor, ensuring that the actual feed rate quickly, accurately, and stably tracks the agreed flow rate.
