Abstract: This paper introduces the problems and modification schemes of the bucket wheel stacker-reclaimer at Gaoyu Power Plant, including the specific modification content and objectives, providing a reference for similar plants. Keywords : Bucket wheel stacker-reclaimer; Trolley travel; Frequency converter 1 Introduction The two bucket wheel stacker-reclaimers at Gaoyu Power Plant are model DQ1000/1500·35, manufactured and installed by Shanxi Changshan Electric Machinery Equipment General Factory. The reclaiming capacity is 1000t/h, the stacking capacity is 1500t/h, and the slewing radius is 35 m. The entire machine mainly consists of a metal frame, bucket wheel mechanism, slewing mechanism, traveling mechanism, cantilever belt mechanism, tail car lifting mechanism, and boom luffing mechanism. The bucket wheel excavator control system is divided into two control parts: the trolley and the tail car. These two parts work in coordination through electrical and mechanical transmission. The system can be categorized by control circuit: ① Main circuit (controlling the high-voltage power supply, AC motor, brake, air conditioner, and electric heater); ② Controller circuit (controlling the power supply, rail clamping control, trolley travel control, tail car control, slewing control, luffing control, stacker/reclaimer control, control of various signals, wind speed alarm control, and telephone); ③ Working lighting circuit (indoor lighting, floodlighting, escalator/walkway lighting); ④ Interlocking circuit (interlocking between the machine and the system belts); ⑤ Control core coordinating various circuits, PC control circuit (controlling various signals). After the bucket wheel stacker/reclaimer at Gaoyu Power Plant was put into operation, several malfunctions occurred. After system modifications, the reliability of the bucket wheel excavator was improved.
