Abstract : This paper describes a network-based monitoring system for frequency converters, utilizing the MSComm control to implement software functions. Keywords : Frequency converter; Network monitoring; MSComm control 1 Introduction Frequency converters have advantages such as wide adjustment range, high precision, good reliability, high efficiency, convenient operation, and easy interface and communication with other devices. With the development of frequency conversion technology and the reduction in price, frequency converters are increasingly widely used in industrial control. However, the operation and settings of frequency converters are becoming more sophisticated and complex with the continuous updating of technology. To achieve effective monitoring of frequency converters in industrial sites, this paper designs a network monitoring system for frequency converters using the EMERSON TD2000 frequency converter as an example. This system has low development cost, stable performance, and follows a unified serial communication protocol, making it a low-cost and easy-to-use communication method. An industrial monitoring computer connects to multiple frequency converters via serial expansion ports and RS232-RS485 serial communication interfaces to form a monitoring network, enabling continuous monitoring and control of multiple frequency converters. It can also modify frequency converter parameters through communication, achieving联动 control and synchronous control of multiple frequency converters.
