Abstract : High-speed machining technology, characterized by high efficiency and high precision, has promoted the application of linear motor direct drive technology in high-speed machining centers. This article analyzes the relationship between high-speed machining and linear motors, as well as the development status of linear motors and their servo control technologies at home and abroad, and proposes a design method for linear motors and their fully digital direct drive servo controllers. Developed countries in traditional manufacturing have regarded high-speed machining as a new technology to drive economic development. Since the 1990s, batches of high-speed machine tools have been launched into the international market and successfully applied in the automotive industry, aerospace industry, complex surface machining, and machining of difficult-to-machine materials. This marks that high-speed machining has entered the stage of industrial application and will bring tremendous impetus and impact to the world's machine tool industry. To achieve high-speed machining, in addition to requiring high-speed machine tools to have spindle components suitable for high-speed machining, machine tool support components with good dynamic, static, and thermal rigidity, high-rigidity and high-precision tool holders and quick tool change devices, as well as high-pressure and high-flow-rate jet cooling systems and safety devices, higher requirements are also placed on the feed system of high-speed machine tools, namely: (1) High feed speed, with a maximum feed speed of 60-200 m/min.
