Research on PLC-based control system for texturing machine

Abstract : Based on the current development status of texturing machine control systems in China and referring to the development and application of various texturing machine control systems abroad, this paper proposes a design for each component of the texturing machine control system. A user-friendly human-machine interface is used to achieve powerful monitoring and management functions; PID fuzzy control is used to achieve precise control of the hot box temperature; a PLC combined with frequency converter closed-loop control and online tension monitoring is used to achieve high-precision motor control; and four-level stroke correction and continuous adjustment of the winding angle are used to prevent hard edges and yarn overlap. Keywords : Texturing machine; Control system; Frequency converter; PID; PLC 1 Current Status and Development of Texturing Machines China's textile machinery products are comprehensive and diverse. With the transformation of the textile industry towards an export-oriented model, domestically produced equipment can no longer meet the production requirements of the textile industry, thus forcing the textile machinery industry to increase its efforts in industrial upgrading and product structure adjustment. Currently, China's texturing machine market mainly relies on imports or cooperation with foreign manufacturers. Internationally, chemical fiber machinery manufacturers producing texturing machines mainly come from Germany, Italy, Japan, Switzerland, France, the United Kingdom, the United States, South Korea, Austria, and India. The AFK series texturing machines from Barmag GmbH of Germany are the company's new generation products. Their main features include a high-temperature heating chamber (50–5000 degrees Celsius) and a straight yarn path. Rieter's FTF12SDS texturing machine, manufactured in Changzhou, uses a biphenyl-heated high-temperature heating chamber and an 'R'-type yarn contact system. Other texturing machines widely adopt high-temperature heating chambers, online tension detection, automatic bobbin unwinding, and new false twisters. In terms of control systems, CRT (LCD) displays and monitoring are used, and central control is gradually shifting from single-chip microcomputer control to PLCs, DSPs, and industrial PCs with strong processing capabilities and convenient network communication. Control systems are becoming increasingly user-friendly, intelligent, and integrated. The adoption of these new technologies improves the control capabilities and accuracy of the texturing machines, allowing for convenient real-time display, setting, and adjustment of process parameters. 2. Composition of the Texturing Machine Control System The texturing machine control system can be divided into a monitoring system, a speed regulation system, a temperature control system, and a take-up control system. The monitoring system is the central processing unit, responsible for communication with other systems, error alarms, parameter display and setting, interface display, printing, etc. The central processing unit has relatively high hardware requirements, and the software is developed using the high-level language VB.
