Abstract: This paper introduces the simulation study of model reference adaptive control of linear time-varying systems based on the MATLAB simulation tool SIMULINK, and gives the simulation results. Keywords: MATLAB, time-varying system, model reference adaptive control, simulation 1 Introduction MATLAB is an interactive programming language developed by American scholars Cleve Moler et al. in 1980. In 1990, MathWorks software company provided MATLAB with a new graphical input and simulation tool for control system models, and renamed it SIMULINK in 1992. The graphical interactive model input computer simulation environment SIMULINK makes the input of a very complex control system easy and intuitive, and also plays a positive role in the further promotion of MATLAB [1]. At present, MATLAB has become the most popular and widely used software environment in the field of control system CAD. The model reference adaptive control system consists of a reference model, a controlled object, a controller, and an adaptive law. The core of system design is to synthesize and design the controller and the adaptive law so that the system can stably track the output of the reference model [2]. In recent years, the research on adaptive control of time-varying systems has made great progress. Based on [3], this paper conducts a simulation study on an improved model reference adaptive control scheme for linear time-varying systems. The simulation results demonstrate the feasibility of this control scheme. For details, please click to download: Simulation of Adaptive Control for Time-varying Systems Based on MATLAB
