Abstract: This paper proposes a design method for a magnetorheological damper control system based on the M68HC08 MCU. The method for generating the control current waveform is discussed, and the basic circuit design and software programming block diagram are given. Keywords:Magnetorheological damper, M68HC08 1 IntroductionMagnetorheological fluids (MRFs) are suspensions formed by dispersing non-colloidal fine particles in an insulating carrier liquid, whose rheological behavior can be controlled by changes in an applied magnetic field. Magnetorheological fluids undergo a dramatic change in rheological properties under the influence of an external magnetic field. They can transform from a highly fluid liquid to a solid-like state within a short time (milliseconds). This change is continuous and reversible; once the magnetic field is removed, the fluid returns to a flowing state, demonstrating excellent controllability.
