Abstract: This paper mainly introduces the role of the MAX705 from MAXIM in the microcontroller reset function of a PROFIBUS-DP fieldbus-based data acquisition system. Compared with general microcontroller reset circuits, it can significantly improve the stability and reliability of the system. Keywords: PROFIBUS-DP; SPC3; slave; automatic reset 1. Overview With the continuous development of computer technology, intelligent microprocessor technology, and communication technology, intelligent systems based on fieldbus have emerged. Fieldbus technology is an industrial field-layer network communication technology for realizing the digitization of field devices. It is an inevitable development of 3C technology from the control room to the process field, and has advantages such as economical, safe, and reliable information transmission, timely processing of transmitted information, fast transmission speed, and short response time. It will inevitably replace the analog instrument systems currently in widespread use. The PROFIBUS-DP-based data acquisition system introduced in this paper includes the acquisition of digital and analog signals. The terminal is implemented using a microcontroller system, but because it lacks dedicated chips and is built with general-purpose chips, it has many components and complex functions. In addition, the industrial environment is harsh, and various interferences exist. Therefore, the normal operation of the microcontroller is particularly important.
