Abstract : This paper introduces the application of DCS system control frequency converters in the blast furnace plant of the ironmaking branch, realizing the variable frequency speed regulation of winches and the frequency converter selection and design scheme. This provides valuable reference for the design and application of frequency converters in blast furnaces. Keywords : Variable frequency speed regulation, winch, DCS control system 1 Overview The winch equipment in the batching area of the blast furnace plant is a key piece of equipment. The winch equipment is responsible for charging the blast furnace, and its charging capacity directly affects the output and smooth operation of the blast furnace. It is also a crucial factor affecting the blast furnace shutdown rate. The stability and reliability of its control function determines the stability of the winch system. In this design, an AC frequency converter is used for the speed control of the AC motor drive mechanism. 2 Functions of the Frequency Converter Variable frequency speed regulation is one of the fastest-growing motor speed regulation methods in modern electrical engineering. The superior performance of frequency converters has led to their increasingly widespread application in industry.
