Abstract: This paper mainly introduces a system for electrical control of the cement production line process using Siemens WINCC configuration software and PLC as the control platform. The paper details the monitoring methods of WINCC configuration software and the specific configuration of the I/O points of the PLC control system, providing a new control method for cement production. Keywords: WINCC; PLC; Cement Introduction The simplified process of cement production typically involves crushing and grinding raw materials such as limestone and quartz sand, mixing them with pulverized coal for preheating, and then sending the mixture to a rotary kiln to produce clinker. The clinker is then ground and some auxiliary materials are added to become finished cement. This paper takes the cement production line control system of Songliao Cement Plant as an example, introducing the control methods and composition of the cement production line process from raw material processing to finished cement and environmental exhaust gas emissions. 1. System Composition The cement processing production system comprises four parts: the main production line, the rotary kiln firing section, and the exhaust gas treatment section. Each part consists of several production equipment and electrical control subsystems. The electrical control system is structured as follows: the host computer is monitored by Siemens WINCC configuration software; the four production sections are controlled by Siemens S7-300 PLCs as substations, controlling various valves, fans, pumps, bucket elevators, etc., of the production equipment. Each WINCC monitoring screen has a switch button at the bottom to switch to other control subscreens for operator monitoring.
