The Berg screw air compressor draws in air from the outside atmosphere, pre-filters it through a screen before it enters the casing, and then passes through a paper intake filter (1) before entering the multi-functional intake control valve (2). The clean air then enters the rotor driven by the motor for compression. A precisely controlled, continuously injected amount of cooled Berg compressor oil is injected into the screw. The oil serves three functions: cooling, sealing, and lubrication. It removes heat generated during compression, seals the tiny clearance between the two opposing rotating screws and the rotor chamber, and lubricates the rotor bearings. After compression, the oil-containing air is discharged from the compressor head (4). It then enters the pre-separation oil-gas container (5) via a flange connection without any pressure loss. Here, the compressed air is buffered, its velocity rapidly reduced, and the oil in the compressed air settles and separates due to gravity and the reduced velocity. After separation, the compressed air passes through a spiral-type fine oil-gas separator (6), resulting in an oil content of only 1-3 mg/m³. The separated compressed air then passes through a minimum pressure check valve (7) to an air cooler (9) for further cooling. Cooled compressed air enters the air supply system through a shut-off valve. Oil is separated and precipitated in a pre-separation container, with oil foam rapidly reduced, and then sent to a larger oil cooler (8). The filtered and cooled oil is reinjected into the compressor head. The oil is then filtered and recycled through an oil filter (10) to prevent system contamination. A temperature control valve (11) ensures that all Burger screws operate at optimal temperatures during all operating phases.
