Abstract: A new method of the recognition and tracking system of moving object is introduced, and the system block diagram is presented. The process and algorithm of image processing are discussed in detail, including the selection of color model, image pre-processing, image segmentation, object recognition and prediction, and the handling of object loss. The system can realize real-time tracking of the object in simple backgrounds and achieve good results . Key words: tracking, image processing, object recognition 1. Overview: With the development of computer technology and digital image processing technology, the application scope of computer vision technology is becoming wider and wider. Among them , the detection and tracking of moving targets is a hot topic in the field of computer vision. Target tracking systems have wide applications in military, traffic flow detection and community security inspection systems. It can liberate people from the tedious process of tracking. Automatic tracking systems for moving targets primarily acquire video sequences of moving images, process these sequences using image processing algorithms to obtain the target's motion parameters, ensuring the moving target remains within the camera's monitoring range.
