[Abstract] Taking the DCS control system of paddy processing in a winery as an example, this paper introduces the application of redundancy technology in distributed control systems, and discusses it in detail from three aspects: PLC redundancy, communication redundancy, and software programming. [Keywords] Redundancy system ; Distributed control system In various fields of modern industry, due to considerations of high reliability and safety, as well as high shutdown costs or significant production losses due to system maintenance, redundant structures are mostly used to construct control systems. 1. Redundant DCS System The DCS control system of paddy processing in a winery is mainly divided into six process sections: feeding, initial cleaning, cleaning, hulling, milling, and discharging. It involves 6400 electrical and instrumentation input/output points and 576 control points, all centrally controlled by a central control room. The entire DCS system is based on Siemens redundant components, consisting of two S7-400 controllers, two OSM switches, nine ET200M I/O stations, one operator station, and one engineer station. The system utilizes high-performance S7-400 cards throughout, achieving redundancy in power supply modules, CPUs, communication media, interface modules, and client machines.
