Abstract : This paper introduces a novel logistics conveying system. This system uses a long-stator linear motor for drive, and the secondary drive of the linear motor propels the suspended cargo movement system, which is controlled by a programmable logic controller (PLC) and a main control computer. The paper also discusses the segmented drive method of the long-stator linear motor. Keywords : Long-stator linear motor; conveying system; control 1 Introduction General logistics conveyor lines use rotary motors for drive, combined with gear and chain mechanisms to drive the conveyor line in linear motion, such as airport baggage conveying, postal automatic sorting, newspaper and book distribution centers, and factory assembly lines. With the increasing level of automation, higher demands are placed on the drive performance and flexibility of logistics conveying systems. Some high-performance logistics conveying systems have begun to use linear motor drive systems to replace conventional rotary motor gear and chain drive systems. These new logistics conveyor lines are intelligently controlled by computers, with high transmission speed and high production efficiency. They can also realize automatic sorting, classification, and selection of conveyed logistics, adapting to the needs of large-scale logistics transmission and flexible multi-batch arrangement. China's logistics conveying technology is still relatively backward; the handling of goods is still basically manual, resulting in high labor intensity and low production efficiency. Currently, the infrastructure, equipment, and personnel quality in the logistics transportation field are not in line with the country's economic and scientific and technological development. Therefore, researching and developing new intelligent logistics transportation systems to achieve mechanization and automation in China's logistics transportation field, filling this gap, is of great practical significance. This article introduces the research results of a linear motor-driven logistics conveying system. 2. Conveying System Structure The overall structural diagram of the long stator linear motor logistics transportation system is shown in Figure 1. It consists of several parts, including a suspension support structure, a long stator asynchronous linear motor, and a secondary plate trolley system. The suspension support mechanical structure mainly provides system support and bears the gravity of the moving load. In the experimental system developed, the logistics transportation line is a closed path 6m long and 3m wide. The moving track is supported by a support beam, forming a closed elevated structure, and the trolley of the logistics transportation system moves along the track.
