introduction

The combustion quality of power boilers directly affects the fuel consumption of power plants. Especially with the increase in boiler capacity and the increasing demands for environmental protection, the development of a fast-response and reliable flue gas analysis system is particularly important. This design mainly utilizes the SIRO2 oxygen sensor and its internal resistance detection circuit to send signals to a microcomputer via A/D conversion. This enables real-time acquisition, processing, and control of information such as temperature, oxygen content, and oxygen sensor internal resistance, thereby detecting and analyzing flue gas and evaluating the performance parameters of the oxygen sensor.

1. System Composition and Working Principle

1.1 System Composition

Figure 1 shows the block diagram of a real-time flue gas analysis system capable of detecting parameters from four oxygen sensors. The system consists of a constant-temperature heating element, a gas generator, oxygen sensors, a temperature sensor, an analog conversion switch, an oxygen sensor internal resistance detection circuit, an interface board, and a microcomputer system. A standard gas and mixed gas generator provide the oxygen content measurement and detection environment for the oxygen sensors.

1.2 Measurement Principle of SIRO2 Oxygen Sensor

The SIRO2 oxygen sensor is a zirconium oxide solid electrolyte oxygen concentration battery developed by the Materials Science Department of the Commonwealth Scientific and Research Organisation (CSIRO) of Australia. It is used to measure the oxygen content in high-temperature gases.
