Design of the network communication module for the track dispatching and command system

Abstract: This paper discusses the design scheme of the network communication module of the dispatching and control system (TDCS) in rail transit, involving the requirements of network hardware connection, software function and performance, with a focus on the security and reliability of communication. The scheme strives to be comprehensive and reasonable.

1 Introduction

Currently, urban development has increased the demand for rail transit. The dispatching and command system is the lifeline and central hub of the rail transit signaling system. Its implementation can make rail transit more efficient and user-friendly, with outstanding social and economic benefits.

A dispatch and control system (TDCS) typically consists of three parts: a dispatch (control) center subsystem, a station subsystem, and a wide area network connecting the two. These three components are connected based on the TCP/IP protocol.

The network communication module is a crucial component of the Dispatch and Command System (TDCS), and its reliability and stability directly affect the normal operation of the entire system. This paper designs and studies the implementation scheme of the system's communication module. While ensuring good scalability and flexibility, the network connection method of the entire system is planned, and strategies and implementation schemes for network channel redundancy and dual-machine hot standby of key equipment are presented. From the perspective of network communication, the datagram format of network communication is defined; a network security authentication mechanism is designed to ensure the security of network communication, providing a complete and reliable software design scheme.

2 Network hardware connection

Establish a bus-type central LAN in the dispatch center, and connect the application server, communication front-end server, various workstations, print server, etc. of the control center to the central LAN. Due to the large amount of communication data and the strong real-time nature of transactions, independent network connection or memory channel technology can be considered between the database server and the application server.

A dedicated dual-channel fiber optic network or digital channel is used to establish an inter-station wide area network (WAN) responsible for communication between all stations along the line and the dispatch center within its jurisdiction. A dual-machine hot standby communication front-end server is set up between the central local area network (LAN) and the inter-station WAN to isolate the two networks. Each station's dual-machine hot standby station equipment uses dual network cards to connect to the inter-station WAN.
