High-voltage circuit breaker mechanism simulation analysis based on Pro/E and ADAMS

Abstract : For the dynamic problem of high voltage switch operating mechanism, a simulation model was established by PRO/E and imported into ADAMS/View in Parasolid format. The multibody dynamics simulation analysis software ADAMS was used to perform dynamic simulation modeling and analysis of the circuit breaker mechanism system, providing a good platform for circuit breaker design and optimization. The analysis results show that the structural response of the high voltage circuit breaker can meet the design requirements. Increasing the closing spring stiffness and overtravel spring stiffness can reduce the closing time and the bounce of the moving contact. Keywords : PRO/E; ADAMS; dynamics simulation; virtual prototype Introduction Virtual prototype technology, also known as mechanical system dynamic simulation technology, is a computer-aided engineering (CAE) technology that has developed rapidly in the 1980s with the development of computer technology. Its core is the multi-system kinematics and dynamics modeling theory and its kinematics and dynamics simulation. It is a digital design method based on the computer simulation model of the product. System dynamics simulation is the core and key technology of digital virtual prototype technology. The ADAMS software developed by MDI in the United States is a mechanism kinematics and mechanics simulation tool based on multi-rigid body kinematics theory [1]. This paper uses the 3D modeling software Pro/E to build a mechanical model of the ZN68-12 circuit breaker, imports it into ADAMS software, conducts simulation tests, and compares the results with experimental data. The conclusions drawn provide a method for the future optimization design of this type of circuit breaker mechanism.
