Its features are as follows: 1. The butterfly plate sealing ring is spherical, facilitating both machining and easy opening and closing rotation. Made of 1Cr18Ni9Ti stainless acid-resistant steel, it undergoes nitriding treatment to achieve a HRC of over 65 degrees Celsius, providing corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance, and wear resistance. 2. The valve body sealing ring has a specially shaped metal ring cross-section, also made of 1Cr18Ni9Ti stainless acid-resistant steel, and undergoes nitriding treatment. In addition to corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance, and wear resistance, it also possesses good elasticity, easily deforming elastically. Under external force, it can closely fit the spherical surface of the butterfly plate, laying the foundation for metal-to-metal sealing. 3. The valve body sealing ring is pressed onto the butterfly plate's spherical surface using screws, a packing gland, and elastic flexible graphite packing. This generates and maintains the contact pressure required for sealing while simultaneously preventing leakage between the valve body and the sealing ring. 4. When there is a medium force within the valve, the butterfly plate will undergo slight elastic deformation and a minor positional change along the direction of the medium force. This change and displacement can affect the valve's sealing performance. However, the elasticity of the packing compensates for these minor deformations and displacements. This is the basis for the bidirectional sealing capability of our metal-sealed butterfly valves. 5. When the temperature changes, the diameter of the butterfly plate's spherical surface and the valve body sealing ring will undergo slight dimensional and positional changes due to thermal expansion and contraction. Because the packing is elastic, it provides a certain contact pressure between the valve body sealing ring and the butterfly plate's spherical surface while absorbing and releasing these minor dimensional and positional changes. Therefore, this product can adapt to high-temperature and large-temperature-difference operating conditions. 6. This product adopts a double-eccentric structure. When closed, it has a tightening function, ensuring reliable sealing performance; when opened, it ensures complete disengagement of the sealing surfaces; effectively protecting the sealing surfaces from friction and wear, thus extending their service life. 7. The valve shaft adopts a half-shaft structure, and the butterfly plate has a truss structure, resulting in high butterfly plate strength, large flow area, and low flow resistance. Our factory's metal bidirectional sealing butterfly valves, due to their metal sealing materials and special structural form, are suitable for various media and operating conditions, making them a widely applicable valve. Specifically, this is reflected in the following aspects: 1. Wide temperature range: Can be used at 400℃ without affecting sealing performance or causing jamming. 2. Diverse operating methods and reliable sealing performance. This product's sealing performance exceeds the national standard GB/T13927. Looking at the current state of my country's water supply industry, water outages caused by valve quality issues or traffic congestion due to emergency repairs are commonplace, and the cost of replacing valves far exceeds their price. Especially during construction, the advantages of metal-sealed butterfly valves in pipelines become even more apparent due to foreign objects, impurities, or special water quality conditions. Over the years, water companies in Shanghai, Guangzhou, Nanjing, Hefei, Beijing, and Zhengzhou have used our metal-sealed butterfly valves and have truly experienced their reliable sealing performance, flexible opening, and long service life, giving them full affirmation and high praise. Shanghai's roads are laid out in a "three vertical and three horizontal" pattern, resembling the Chinese character "申" (Shen). Shanghai's water supply network is extensive and interconnected. Looking at its layout, the Suzhou Creek serves as a boundary; south of the Suzhou Creek are the Changqiao Water Plant and the Shinan Water Plant, while north of the Suzhou Creek are the Yangshupu Water Plant and the Zhabei Water Plant, symbolizing the Chinese character "水" (Shui, meaning water). Taking Shanghai as an example, the actual application of metal-sealed butterfly valves will be briefly described below. In December 1997, the Shanghai Water Supply Company installed a DN1200 D3sf41SHS-10Q metal bidirectional sealing butterfly valve manufactured by our factory at the connection point of two outlet pipes, DN2000 and DN1200, at the gate of the Changqiao Water Plant. One of the DN2000 outlet pipes flows through Liuzhou Road and Yishan Road to Hongqiao Road. The other DN1200 outlet pipe connects to the outlet pipe of the Nanshi Water Plant via Longwu Road, jointly supplying domestic and industrial water to six districts south of the Suzhou Creek: Xuhui, Changning, Jing'an, Luwan, Nanshi, and Huangpu. The location of this DN1200 valve is critical; if any of the water pipes malfunctions, this valve should be shut off immediately. If this valve malfunctions or becomes unresponsive, the Changqiao Water Plant will have to stop its pumps and shut off the main valve. The Changqiao Water Plant produces 1.4 million tons of water per day, making it one of the largest water plants in China. It's easy to imagine the significant economic losses if the Changqiao Water Plant were to shut down. More importantly, the political impact of a large-scale water outage in Shanghai, an international metropolis, would be immeasurable. Therefore, the pipeline maintenance company aptly nicknamed the location of this valve "the tiger's mouth." This valve was shut down twice: once in November 1999 during the renovation of the DN1200 pipeline on Xitai Road, and again on May 14, 2000, during the replacement of a fire hydrant at No. 411 Shangzhong Road. The valve team leader, Miao Peiyang, personally operated the valve, reporting smooth operation, flexible opening and closing, and reliable sealing. In November 1999, a DN1200 metal-sealed valve manufactured by our factory was installed at the intersection of Xujiahui Road and Mengzi Road. It has been opened and closed four times to date, with unanimous feedback indicating flexible opening and reliable sealing. Another DN1000 metal-sealed butterfly valve, installed at the intersection of Henan South Road and Penglai Road, was operated on August 18th of this year by Wei Duanbiao, head of the pipeline network section of the Shanghai South Pipeline Management Office. He also reported flexible opening and closing and reliable sealing. In particular, our metal-sealed butterfly valves have been adopted at People's Square, Xizang Middle Road, and in front of the New World shopping mall. There is a consensus that using our valves in key and important locations is reliable. This year, the Shibei Water Supply Company has extensively adopted our DN1800, DN1400, DN1200, DN1000, and DN800 diameter metal-sealed butterfly valves in projects such as the intersection of Hutai Road and Wenshui East Road, No. 2757 Hutai Road (in front of Zhenhua Chemical Co., Ltd.), the intersection of Zhenbei Road and Jinshajiang Road, Taihe Road, and the Outer Ring Road. In early 2000, to reduce the production and sales gap, the Shibei Water Supply Company used electronic flow meters to measure the flow rate and friction loss of each valve along the water pipeline. The measured flow rate of one DN1800 valve was 14000 m³/h, while the design flow rate was 24000–25500 m³/h. The company leadership immediately decided to replace the valves with our factory's DN1800 metal-sealed butterfly valves. After replacement, a retest showed the flow rate increased to 25,000 m³/h, meeting the design requirements. Company leaders at all levels expressed great satisfaction with the project's upgrade and valve replacement. In addition, our factory's metal-sealed butterfly valves have been used in numerous projects in Shanghai, including Zhennan Road, Qilianshan Road, Jinggu Road, the reservoir in Fuxing Park, as well as Luoshan Road, Longdong Road, Chuansha Road, Hunan Highway, and Huannan Second Avenue in Pudong.
