System Composition and Working Principle** The system mainly consists of hydrological and water level RTUs and a monitoring center. The hydrological and water level RTUs primarily collect and transmit water level data and receive instructions from the monitoring center. Once the water level exceeds the standard, the hydrological and water level RTUs will issue an alarm, requesting the monitoring center to take appropriate measures. The water level RTUs can be set to automatically send information to the monitoring center at regular intervals, or they can be set to standby mode, sending information only after receiving instructions from the monitoring center. The monitoring center consists of a desktop computer, a monitoring center data transmission radio, and monitoring center software. The monitoring center can send inspection instructions to each hydrological and water level RTU. Upon receiving the instruction, the RTU will send information to the monitoring center. Once the monitoring center detects a dangerous situation, it can take emergency measures. The monitoring center software is a dedicated hydrological and water level management and control software developed using MCGS configuration software based on Windows 2000. It features simple operation, intuitiveness, and aesthetically pleasing display. The real-time water level status of each monitoring point can be directly observed on the monitoring center's computer screen. **III. Main Features and Functions of the System** The system adopts an industrial-grade standardized design, with a reasonable structure, stable and reliable operation, and suitability for various harsh environments. It displays real-time water level data, and an emergency alarm is triggered immediately upon detecting a dangerous situation if the water level exceeds the limits (high or low). (See diagram). The RTU can be set to automatically send information to the monitoring center at regular intervals, or it can be set to remain in standby mode and send information upon receiving instructions from the monitoring center. • The communication protocol is transparent and highly compatible, supporting standard industrial field control protocols such as MODBUS. • Communication methods include wireless communication and wired communication with RS-485 and RS-232. Wireless communication uses the wireless channels specified by the State Radio Regulatory Commission. • System parameter settings: Through the MCGS all-Chinese industrial control configuration software, system inspection time, alarm upper and lower limits, system clock, etc., can be set. • On-site settings and remote communication: Various on-site parameters can be directly read through the on-site RTU LCD screen and buttons to complete system debugging and fault diagnosis. Wireless voice communication between the RTU and remote locations can also be achieved. • Powerful industrial control configuration software functions: Supports logic ladder diagram language, C language, and industrial control software programming and control. Supports real-time multi-tasking. • The RTU of this system has its own power supply, which can meet the power supply requirements of 220V, 50HZ power supply and DC power supply such as solar energy and batteries.
