With the strong support of Hubei Provincial Electric Power Company and Xiangfan Power Supply Company, and after more than 20 years of hard work by a group of power engineers, computer experts and technicians who have long been engaged in the installation, repair, testing and operation and maintenance of power generation and distribution equipment, a "distributed single-phase grounding fault computer integrated fault location device" has been successfully developed by Xiangfan Keneng Electromechanical Equipment Co., Ltd. It has passed the inspection of the "Electrical Equipment Quality Inspection and Testing Center of Electric Power Industry" and the certification of the quality management system GB/19001—2000 idt ISO9001:2000. It has applied to the State Intellectual Property Office for invention and utility model patent protection. This device employs a distributed network structure in its hardware: a "host" consisting of an industrial-grade computer CPU and circuit modules controls multiple grounding signal acquisition "branchers"—each composed of CPUs and circuit modules—via a single cable ("data bus"). These branching signals are then induced from high-voltage transmission lines by several "busbar-type zero-sequence current transformers." In terms of software, it comprehensively utilizes multiple methods and principles, including "first half-wave," "reactive power direction," "harmonic current magnitude and direction," and "wavelet waveform analysis." A dedicated computer program, based on a weighted algorithm using "fuzzy theory," performs data acquisition, calculation, analysis, and control, achieving 100% accuracy in fault location. Over the past three years, it has been installed and used in numerous power company substations, locating faults thousands of times with results matching the actual fault lines. This completely solves the global challenge of fault location protection for single-phase grounding faults in 3-66kV medium-voltage distribution networks, including power plants, substations, and switching stations. I. Main Functions: 1. Displays information on a large LCD screen in Chinese, with a calendar and clock on the standby interface; 2. One device can simultaneously select four ground fault lines occurring on four busbars across two voltage levels; 3. One main unit can simultaneously monitor 90 lines or devices, displaying the actual number of the faulty ground fault line; 4. Can simultaneously identify and display the ground fault phases of the four busbars: A, B, and C; 5. Records the start and duration of the fault; 6. Provides an audible fault alarm; 7. Enables information upload via multiple communication methods; 8. Can store and remember 128 fault messages; 9. Allows setting time limits to control the high-voltage switch tripping of the faulty line; 10. Can automatically and manually print fault information records; II. Main Technical Performance Indicators: 1. Selection Speed: Less than 0.1 seconds to identify ground fault lines; 2. Selection Accuracy: 100%; 3. Sensitivity: The minimum distinguishable signal current for the branch unit is 0.01mA; 4. Main Unit Power Supply: AC/DC 220V±10%, static power consumption less than 3W; 4. Brancher working power supply: 6.5—12V, power consumption 0.3—0.5W/unit; 5. Working environment: air temperature—10℃—+50℃, relative humidity 90%; 6. All technical indicators meet or exceed DL/T 872—2004 standard.
