Abstract: This paper analyzes the model and control method of a servo system . Based on different system usage requirements, a multi-objective optimization method with a certain stability margin is proposed, and a simulation analysis is conducted on a specific case. Simulation and practical results demonstrate that the proposed method is feasible and highly effective.

0 Introduction

Currently, CNC machining of non-circular cross-section parts is quite common. For example, turning the outer circle of a convex elliptical piston is a typical non-circular machining process. The PTC piston CNC turning system can be used as a dedicated CNC machine tool for machining high-end piston outer contour surfaces, and also for machining steel templates on piston three-dimensional template lathes. The linear servo tool post is a key component of the PTC piston CNC turning system, using a voice coil linear motor as the drive source. Many domestic and international publications have reported on the control methods of voice coil linear motors, but some problems still need to be solved in practical applications. These mainly manifest in two ways: First, due to the significant nonlinearity of the controlled object and the strong electromagnetic interference in the surrounding environment, the controller design must consider system stability and anti-interference issues; second, in applications, not only is there a requirement for the bandwidth of the CNC system's linear servo tool post, but also, due to different system applications, the requirements for the linear servo...

The dynamic and static stiffness requirements of the tool post also differ. For these reasons, in practice, the tuning of controller parameters currently relies on manual experimentation and experience, which is not only time-consuming and labor-intensive but also often results in less than ideal performance of the linear servo tool post. This paper introduces a multi-objective optimization control method for a linear servo tool post with a certain stability margin, based on control theory and optimization methods and combined with practical experience.

1. Mathematical Model of Linear Servo Tool Post

The controlled objects of a linear servo tool post include a linear motor driver, a linear motor, and a spring-loaded tool post. The linear motor and the spring-loaded tool post are the actuating components of the linear servo tool post, and their simplified structural diagram is shown in Figure 1.
