Abstract: This paper mainly discusses different medium- and high-frequency induction heating power systems and their applications. It introduces applications in the automotive powertrain industry, such as bonding, in manufacturing, such as pipe welding, and in other typical industrial heat treatment processes. The power system includes not only the power converter itself, but also its controller and process controllers used for application, quality assurance, and maintenance assistance. This paper presents practical industrial power converters, controllers, and process controllers for medium- and high-frequency applications.
Abstract: The aim of the paper is to present the different medium and high frequency industrial induction heating applications and its power systems. The paper will present power systems for applications in automotive industry, like bonding, in the manufacturing industry like tube welding and for other typical industrial heat treatment applications.
