Korenix patented redundancy technology:

RSR provides a reliable, high-quality, and scalable network.

  • Rapid disconnection recovery and RM redundancy
RSR ensures a self-healing time of 5 milliseconds regardless of whether the network is online or experiencing equipment failure. Furthermore, the exclusive RM redundancy mechanism guarantees the stability and reliability of the ring network in the event of RM failure.
  • Seamless Recovery
Unlike other protocols that cause packet loss, network loops, and topology changes during disconnection recovery, RSR provides 0 milliseconds of disconnection reconnection recovery time, ensuring high-quality video transmission in IP surveillance systems.
  • Easy setup
Rapid Super Ring offers a simple and time-saving setup, automatically selecting the RM and the best redundant path.
  • Efficient control
RSR monitors the ring network status using minimal bandwidth, less than 1kbps.
  • Network Anomaly Notification and Location
In addition to event notifications such as Alarm, Email, or SNMP trap, RSR can also use LED lights to indicate the location of the anomaly, thus speeding up troubleshooting.

Seamless self-healing gives you the fastest and most reliable connection.

To ensure connection reliability during network issues, KLORS's independently developed Layer 2 switches utilize seamless self-healing technology and zero-error technology. Compared to existing redundancy protocols, this results in shorter convergence times when network topology changes. When the topology changes, the IGMP relearning mechanism is immediately activated. This immediate response to topology changes requires only a short convergence time, and multicast data can quickly reach its destination via the new path. Therefore, this patented technology effectively reduces the impact of system problems and prevents other instabilities from occurring, ensuring optimal transmission quality through a smooth transition.

Rapid Dual Homing (RDH )
Fast Dual Homing Redundancy replaces Dual Homing II, supporting ring coupling. It retains the advantages of simple setup and diverse redundancy configurations, offering faster failover times (as fast as 50ms) and zero restore time for seamless recovery. It automatically detects and groups uplink ports without requiring additional configuration. Within each group, connections are designated as primary, secondary, and backup based on connection speed. The highest-speed connection serves as the uplink path, similar to a live link for data communication. RDH integrates link aggregation, allowing uplink paths to be single connections or aggregated groups of multiple connections, providing better redundancy and uplink bandwidth. KLORIS ring redundancy technology can be used in conjunction with other network switches, providing simple and flexible connections between KLORIS and other switches, and can also use aggregation technology to achieve multi-redundant networks.

MultiRing

KLORS JetNet managed switches support MultiRing technology, enabling the integration of multiple Rapid Super Ring networks. Using MultiRing , all Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet ports can be used as ring network ports. Furthermore, a single switch can create up to 12 100Mbps ring networks and 2 Gigabit ring networks. Traditional ring network switches can only configure one ring network or handle the traffic of one ring network; connecting multiple ring networks requires additional wiring and configuration. When multiple ring network connections are needed, the setup and wiring become quite complex. Unlike traditional ring network switches, with MultiRing , lower-level ring networks can be directly connected to the switch.

TrunkRing
TrunkRing is a new feature of MSR that integrates RSR fast self-healing ring network and link aggregation technologies. It leverages the improved online redundancy and connection speed of link aggregation; the ring network only disconnects when all aggregated connections are lost. Link aggregation supports both static trunking and dynamic aggregation (LACP). TrunkRing does not require every connection segment to be identical. Ring network connections can be symmetrical or asymmetrical. For example, some connections on the ring may be single-line connections, while others may be aggregated connections of multiple lines, and the number of members in each aggregated link can vary. Users can increase the redundancy of a particular connection segment to suit specific application needs. Lower-speed connections function similarly to redundant lines, restoring network connectivity in the event of a failure.
