The difference between off-grid wind power and distributed energy resources

Off-grid wind power refers to large-scale wind power being directly applied to a range of industries that leverage the characteristics of wind power through technological innovation. The end-load of large-scale wind power is no longer the power grid, and its small, independently operated power supply system paired with batteries is also different. Instead, wind power is directly transmitted to energy-intensive enterprises, achieving 100% energy conversion and solving the problem of utilizing wind power that cannot be connected to the grid.

Distributed energy refers to the technology of establishing integrated energy utilization systems distributed at the user end, realizing the cascade utilization of energy to directly meet the diverse needs of users and maximizing utilization efficiency to achieve cost savings. Currently, a number of distributed heat, power, and cooling projects using oil and gas as fuels have been put into operation in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and other cities in China, achieving significant economic, environmental, and social benefits. Distributed energy technology has shown development potential in my country, not only in maintaining energy strategic security and power security, but also in alleviating environmental and grid peak-shaving pressures and improving energy utilization efficiency.
