Analog input
1. Introduction to Analog Input
Analog input typically uses analog voltage or current signals as the main frequency input of the frequency converter. Simply put, it uses this voltage or current signal to control the frequency of the frequency converter.
The analog signal is connected to AI1; change the main frequency channel F01.00 to 01.
The analog signal is connected to AI2; change the main frequency channel F01.00 to 02.
2. Confirm the analog signal
Once the input terminals have been determined, it is now necessary to determine whether the input analog signal is a voltage signal or a current signal.
The frequency converter accepts 0~10V voltage signals by default. If the input is a current signal, switch the corresponding DIP switch SW1/SW2 above the terminal to the current range.
Additionally, the analog input interface configuration F00.20 (default 0000) needs to be modified to 0001/0002.
3. Relationship between inverter frequency and current/voltage
By assuming a simulated voltage using a potentiometer, modifying the corresponding parameters, and adjusting the potentiometer arbitrarily, the frequency will change accordingly.
Further questions
1. If the input is only 0~5V voltage, how can the frequency converter output 0~50HZ?
Modify the gain value of the analog input AI1 to double the gain, so that it corresponds to 0Hz at 0V, 25Hz at 2.5V, and 50Hz at 5V.
Double the gain: multiply the default value of parameter F07.01 by 2.
2. Some customers have reported that the inverter parameters are correct and the DIP switches are also working properly, but the analog input signal still has no effect.
We can use a multimeter to determine the resistance between terminals AI1 and GND based on whether the input analog signal is voltage or current. If it is a voltage signal, the resistance between AI1 and GND should be 20 kΩ; if it is a current signal, the resistance should be 250 kΩ. If the measured value is not this, it can be determined that the inverter's analog terminals may be faulty.
Analog output
1. Introduction to Analog Output
Analog output can be simply understood as outputting a voltage signal or a current signal, and the two signals can be switched using DIP switches SW3 or SW4.
2. Relationship between inverter frequency and current/voltage
Start the inverter and run it to 50Hz. Set the AO1 output voltage signal. Use a multimeter in DC voltage mode to measure the voltage values between the AO1 and GDN terminals. At 50Hz, the AO1 output voltage is 10V, and at 25Hz, it is 5V. The current is measured in the same way. However, the multimeter needs to be connected in series with the terminals.
