Machine vision systems offer high detection accuracy and can quickly acquire and automatically process large amounts of information, making them widely used in industrial inspection. For traditional, labor-intensive inspection methods, machine vision systems can replace a large number of inspection workers, upgrading the "human eye + simple tools" inspection model to high-precision, rapid, and automated inspection results.
Significant achievements have been made in the application of machine vision technology, resulting in the development of numerous inspection instruments and solutions. The following are just a few examples:
1. Comprehensive Testing Equipment for Neodymium Iron Boron Permanent Magnets: This equipment is specifically designed to inspect the dimensions and appearance of various small neodymium iron boron magnetic materials. (Note: Neodymium iron boron is an important type of rare earth material, and one of its applications is in the manufacture of a wide variety of magnetic conductors, including materials for various mobile phone components such as speakers, receivers, earpieces, vibration motors, mobile phone cameras, and earphones.) This equipment uses machine vision technology to quickly measure the dimensions of neodymium iron boron workpieces, detect their appearance defects, and classify and output qualified and unqualified products. Currently, one such device can replace 10 to 20 quality inspection workers, and the maintenance costs are extremely low.
Furthermore, with simple adjustments, this testing equipment can also be widely applied to the comprehensive inspection of the dimensions and appearance of small parts and sheet-like workpieces. For manufacturers of NdFeB materials and other sheet materials, this equipment is a boon to the quality inspection of their product lines, representing a high-end device that fills a gap in the industry.
2. Carbide Cutting Tool/Bar Stock Rapid Inspection Solution: Both solutions utilize machine vision technology to rapidly inspect the dimensional and geometric tolerances of carbide cutting tools, as well as the dimensions and appearance of various bar stock types, and perform automatic sorting and packaging. The equipment has no easily damaged parts, resulting in extremely low maintenance costs.
3. Rapid Sorting Equipment for Textile Machinery Bearings: Composed of a housing measurement and sorting device and a mandrel measurement and sorting device, this equipment utilizes machine vision technology and non-contact optical measurement to quickly inspect and automatically sort the housings and mandrels of upper roller bearings. The housing section primarily employs the three-point diameter measurement method to test the inner diameter and geometric tolerances; the mandrel section mainly utilizes the shadow projection principle to test the dimensions and geometric tolerances.
4. Automatic Railway Wheelset Dimension Inspection Equipment: This equipment measures the dimensional parameters of various train wheelsets. Utilizing advanced technologies such as machine vision, laser triangulation, and motion control, it features high precision, high reliability, and ease of operation. Its technical specifications far exceed the relevant standards set by the Ministry of Railways.
5. Automatic Valve Dimension Inspection Equipment: This solution adopts machine vision technology and uses the principle of shadow projection to test the dimensions of various cross-sections along the valve axis. A light curtain sensor moves along the valve axis, scanning the valve's shape to obtain its axial and radial dimensions; when the valve is rotated, the radial runout data is obtained through the light curtain sensor; and the system automatically determines whether the valve is合格 (qualified/compliant).
6. Rapid ammunition inspection equipment: This equipment is for use by defense units and fully demonstrates Lingbang's proficiency in the application of machine vision technology. Utilizing machine vision and laser testing technology, it can automatically and quickly detect the size and appearance defects of bullet casings. There are 16 sub-items for inspection, all of which are integrated into one device. The inspection efficiency reaches 65 items per minute, and it can automatically sort qualified and unqualified products.
The applications of machine vision extend far beyond its immediate scope. By integrating machine vision, electronic software, and virtual instruments, it exhibits diverse characteristics in innovation and research. The inspection field encompasses not only dimensions and appearance but also mechanics, electricity, temperature, acoustic vibration, and sealing, among many other aspects. Furthermore, its development in dimensional measurement and appearance defect detection continues to deepen.
