It is understood that the application of frequency converters in leather slitting machines is becoming increasingly common in practical work. This is because frequency converters play a significant auxiliary role in the equipment. For example, when the characteristics of an AC asynchronous motor are poor, with low activation torque and nonlinearity, it is necessary to avoid operating the winding motor below 2Hz throughout the winding process, ensuring a minimum speed limit for the winding motor. Frequency converters can also achieve speed limiting of the equipment, among other functions.
So, how does a frequency converter work on a leather slitting machine to perform its functions? This will be discussed in detail below:
Working principle of frequency converter in constant tension control of system
The essence of constant tension control during unwinding and winding is knowing the change in roll diameter during operation. This change necessitates that the motor's output torque must adjust accordingly to maintain load operation. Anbangxin frequency converters, capable of torque control, can also achieve constant tension control during winding. Anbangxin frequency converters provide three analog input ports. These three input ports can be defined for various functions; therefore, one can be selected as the torque setpoint, and another as the speed limiter. For slitting machines, the roll diameter is calculated using a tension controller. In other words, the tension can be set via a human-machine interface or text display, the PLC calculates the roll diameter, and the required motor output torque can be determined. This torque can then be connected to the torque setpoint of the Anbangxin frequency converter via the analog output.
System debugging process and parameter settings
1. Parameter settings for Anbangxin frequency converters
(1) Set all parameters of the driver to factory default values.
(2) Separate the motor shaft from the load.
(3) Set the rated voltage parameter of the motor to 01-02 and the rated frequency parameter of the motor to 01-01.
(4) Set parameter 05-00 to 1, and then press the keypadrun command.
(5) After execution, check whether the measured data has been automatically filled in for some parameters.
2. Anbangxin frequency converter closed-loop vector operation debugging
Set the operating mode to panel start and the frequency setpoint to panel input. With the operating mode set to V/F+PG, set the frequency to 10Hz, then run the inverter and observe if it reports a PG alarm. If a PG alarm occurs, set 10-01 to 1, then power off and on again. Press the run button again, ensuring the inverter does not alarm. Simultaneously press the mode button to switch the display to the operating frequency and observe if it fluctuates around 10Hz. This confirms the debugging is complete.
