A Brief Analysis of the Differences Between Domestic and Imported Frequency Inverters

2026-04-06 04:12:00 · · #1

With further technological research, domestically produced high-voltage frequency converters have become comparable to imported frequency converters in theory and function. However, due to limitations in manufacturing technology, the gap with imported products is still quite significant.

In the 1990s, with the rapid development of China's economy, frequency converters were quickly popularized in the industrial field. In the middle of the 21st century, the economic crisis affected the frequency converter market, but it did not disrupt the market and maintained a stable development. As the market demand for frequency converters continued to expand, the production scale of transformers was also expanded.

Currently, there are no fewer than 200 low-voltage frequency converter manufacturers in China, most of which produce AC380V low-voltage products. However, regarding domestically produced high-voltage frequency converters , with further technological research, they are theoretically and functionally comparable to imported converters. Nevertheless, due to limitations in manufacturing processes, the gap with imported products remains significant. These limitations are mainly reflected in the following aspects:

1. The technical standards for high-voltage frequency converters in China still need to be standardized.

2. The industries that support high-voltage frequency converters are underdeveloped.

3. The manufacturing process is generally acceptable, but it can meet the technical requirements of frequency converter products, and the price is relatively low.

4. The key power semiconductor components used in frequency converters are entirely dependent on imports, and will continue to be dependent on imports for a considerable period of time.

5. A frequency converter with functions such as instantaneous power failure recovery and fault recovery has been developed.

6. Some manufacturers have developed high-voltage frequency converters that operate in four quadrants.

7. The power of domestically produced high-voltage frequency converters is also increasing, with the largest domestic application currently reaching 20,000KW.
