Proper installation, use, and maintenance of precision planetary gearboxes are crucial for ensuring the normal operation of mechanical equipment. Therefore, when installing a planetary gearbox, please strictly follow the installation and usage guidelines below for careful assembly.
Step 1 : Confirm that the motor and reducer are intact and check that the dimensions of all parts connecting the motor and reducer match.
Step 2 : Unscrew the screws on the dustproof hole on the outside of the reducer flange, adjust the PCS system clamping ring so that its side hole aligns with the dustproof hole, and insert and tighten the Allen wrench. Afterward, remove the motor shaft key. Before installation, wipe the rust-preventive oil off the motor input shaft, locating boss, and reducer connection parts with gasoline or zinc-sodium solution.
Step 3 : Connect the motor and reducer naturally. During connection, ensure the reducer's output shaft and the motor's input shaft are concentric and their outer flanges are parallel. This extends service life and achieves ideal transmission efficiency and lower noise. Furthermore, never use a hammer or similar object to strike the motor during installation, as excessive axial or radial force may damage the bearings or gears. Always tighten the mounting bolts before tightening the set bolts.
Step 4 : After installation, the reducer should rotate freely by hand without any jamming. Before starting, tighten all connecting screws. Perform a no-load test run for at least 2 hours. The reducer should run smoothly without impact, vibration, abnormal noise, or oil leakage. Any problems found should be rectified immediately. During use, regularly check all fasteners for looseness to ensure normal operation.
