How to maintain the motor of a fully automatic dispensing machine?

The application of fully automatic dispensing machines is becoming increasingly widespread. The motors used in these machines are mainly stepper motors and stepper drivers. Professional maintenance procedures for motors on fully automatic dispensing machines:

1. The operating environment should be kept dry at all times, the surface of the motor should be kept clean, and the air inlet should not be obstructed by dust, fibers, etc.

2. When the thermal protection of the motor operates continuously, it should be determined whether the fault originates from the motor, overload, or too low setting of the protection device. Operation can only be resumed after the fault has been eliminated.

3. Ensure proper lubrication of the motor during operation. Generally, the grease should be replenished or replaced after approximately 5000 hours of operation. If overheating or lubricant deterioration is observed during operation, replace the grease promptly. When replacing the grease, remove the old lubricating oil and clean the oil grooves of the bearing and bearing cap with gasoline. Then, fill 1/2 (for 2-pole motors) and 2/3 (for 4, 6, and 8-pole motors) of the cavity between the inner and outer rings of the bearing with ZL-3 lithium-based grease.

4. When the bearing reaches the end of its service life, the vibration and noise of the motor will increase significantly. When the radial clearance of the bearing reaches the following values, the bearing should be replaced.

5. When disassembling the motor, the rotor can be removed from either the extended end or the non-extended end. If it is not necessary to remove the fan, it is more convenient to remove the rotor from the non-extended end. When pulling the rotor out of the stator, care should be taken to prevent damage to the stator windings or insulation.

6. When replacing the winding, the original winding type, size, number of turns, wire gauge, etc. must be recorded. If these data are lost, they should be obtained from the manufacturer. Arbitrarily changing the original design winding often deteriorates one or more performance aspects of the motor, or even renders it unusable.
