Motion control is one of the core applications of automation. The DVP15MC is a high-speed bus-based motion controller based on CANopen. It highly integrates a traditional PLC with a motion controller, featuring efficient program execution, precise motion control, and rich port functions. Furthermore, it has achieved significant improvements in the number of controllable axes and other aspects.

Fully upgraded functionality

First, the number of controllable axes of the DVP15MC has been greatly increased to 32 axes, and real axes, virtual axes and encoder axis control can be controlled simultaneously, with a faster response speed.

As motion control applications become more widespread and sophisticated, customers are demanding higher controllable axes. The increased controllable axes offered by the DVP15MC make configuring multi-axis applications simpler and more convenient.

The DVP15MC offers significantly enhanced support for electronic cams, electronic gears, and rotary cutting functions. The number of electronic cams has been increased to 64. The graphical cam editor enables complex trajectory control and allows for dynamic correction of cam data during operation. This greatly improves the efficiency, accuracy, and flexibility of machining operations.

The new generation bus-type motion controller DVP15MC not only supports standard G-code and NC functions (point-to-point control, linear interpolation, circular interpolation, helical interpolation, etc.), but also adds a smooth transition function. At the same time, the G-code instruction space, program capacity, and variable space have been increased by tens or even hundreds of times, making various precision programming more versatile.

Rich port integration

Considering the development trend of intelligent manufacturing, the 15MC has more integrated external ports to meet more diverse needs.

●Integrated I/O (16 inputs, 8 outputs), where the inputs can be used for interrupt routines and position capture;

●Integrates two CAN ports, one dedicated to Motion and the other dedicated to CANopen data exchange (supports master/slave mode).

●Integrates two independent Ethenert ports, supporting Modbus TCP protocol;

●Integrates two independent incremental encoders and one SSI absolute encoder;

●Supports SD memory cards.

Programming applications are more convenient

For users, the most significant change lies in the simplification of programming. The DVP15MC eliminates the need to distinguish between PLC control and MC motion control; developers only need to use CANopenBuilder software to compile the program and write a single set of code to achieve control.

Building upon this foundation, the DVP15MC supports various task types, including loops, events, and free-running, and can simultaneously support up to 31 tasks, resulting in more efficient motion execution. It also supports the Motion Command BufferMode function, which can improve motion curves and reduce impact on machinery.

Powerful scalability

In addition to significantly improved single-axis system capabilities, the DVP15MC also boasts exceptional scalability.

The DVP15MC supports connection to Delta Slim series expansion modules on both its left and right sides. The left side features a high-speed network expansion port, supporting up to 8 modules simultaneously. The right side can be used to expand digital and special modules (such as analog and temperature modules), supporting up to 14 modules. This rich expansion module support makes the Delta DVP15MC more powerful and versatile!

Based on its outstanding features, the Delta DVP15MC has become a strong competitor in the motion controller market.
