The function of the fuel rail pressure sensor is to measure the real-time pressure of fuel in the fuel rail with sufficient accuracy and in a short time, and to convert the pressure signal into a voltage signal and transmit it to the ECU to control the fuel injection accuracy and timing.

The fuel rail pressure sensor is installed on the fuel distributor line.
II. Working Principle
The hydraulic pressure acts on the metal diaphragm of the pressure sensor, causing the diaphragm to deform. The diaphragm is fitted with four metal strain gauges.
In a Wheatstone bridge circuit, the deformation of the diaphragm causes a change in the resistance of the strain gauge. After signal processing by the external circuit, a signal is generated that is linearly correlated with the pressure.

Common causes of failure: Improper use, such as using unsealed connectors, or having high reverse voltage or current.
Maintenance Precautions: Wait at least 30 seconds after the engine stops running before performing any maintenance operations; do not operate the engine while it is running; the sensor removal process should be carried out slowly to allow the pressure inside and outside the oil rail to gradually equalize.
Simple measurement method: Remove the sensor and connect it to a 5V voltage at room temperature and pressure. At this time, the pressure signal output is 0,500±0,048V.
