Thanks to the AEO (Automatic Energy Optimization) function of the frequency converters, Kempinski Hotels can save even more energy. The Beijing Kempinski Hotel, located in Beijing's embassy business district, enjoys a prime location. Its architecture blends traditional culture and modern style, making it a new landmark in the Chinese capital. With 526 guest rooms, the hotel is situated in the heart of the Beijing Lufthansa Center complex. The hotel is renowned in Beijing for its diverse restaurants and exquisite cuisine. Guests can also enjoy relaxation with two fitness clubs, a rooftop heated swimming pool, a fully equipped gym, and several meticulously maintained gardens. Danfoss has been providing VLT® frequency converters for the Sino-German joint venture Beijing Kempinski Hotel since 1999. The initial purpose was to replace the damaged rotary gear reducer in the original heat recovery air handling unit with a variable frequency drive. For this purpose, we specifically commissioned mechanical experts to design an ingenious connecting component. Currently, Danfoss VLT® frequency converters are used in more than 20 machine rooms throughout the Kempinski Hotel. With its extremely high stability and safety, Danfoss VLT® frequency converters have earned the trust of Mr. Ramon, the Director of the Hotel Engineering Department, who has developed a particular fondness for Danfoss VLT® products.
To provide the most comfortable stay with minimal energy consumption, under his leadership, the Kempinski Hotel has undergone continuous renovations and upgrades over the past decade, utilizing more than 120 Danfoss VLT® frequency converters with power ranging from 1.1KW to 200KW. Their AEO (Automatic Energy Optimization) function further reduces energy consumption for the Kempinski Hotel. Danfoss products have been installed in the hotel's frequency converter control systems for heating and air conditioning water circulation pumps, boiler blowers and induced draft fans, cooling tower fans, air handling unit heat recovery impellers, and domestic water constant pressure supply systems.
Currently, the Kempinski Hotel has more than 20 computer rooms, and Danfoss VLT® frequency converters can be found in every single one of them.
