A Brief Discussion of Eight Performance Characteristics of Hot Water Circulation Pumps

Hot water circulating pumps adopt a modular structural design based on CAD, featuring advanced models, high efficiency, simple structure for easy maintenance, safety, reliability, long service life, energy saving, and environmental protection. They are widely used in the transportation and circulation of hot water or other organic heat exchange media (liquids) in systems such as steel metallurgy, power plants, rubber tires, chemicals, light textiles, and large-scale building facilities.

The performance characteristics of the hot water circulating pump are as follows:

1. The door-opening structure and extended intermediate coupling design allow for easy and convenient maintenance of the impeller and mechanical seal without disassembling the pump body, motor, and inlet/outlet pipelines.

2. The pump shaft of the hot water circulating pump adopts an optimized structural design, which improves the overall rigidity of the pump shaft, thereby reducing deflection and lowering the vibration and noise of the pump operation;

3. Depending on the medium, the hot water circulating pump can be equipped with a standard mechanical seal or a metal bellows mechanical seal;

4. The mechanical seal cooling chamber is larger than that of similar products, resulting in better cooling and extending the service life of the mechanical seal;

5. A throttling bypass pipe is installed between the sealing chamber and the inlet of the hot water circulating pump, so that the high-pressure medium in the sealing chamber flows to the pump inlet. This circulation of the medium in the sealing chamber reduces the temperature and pressure of the sealing chamber, which is beneficial to the service life of the mechanical seal, and also improves the cavitation performance of the hot water circulating pump inlet.

6. The mechanical seal gland is equipped with a cooling water chamber, which can quench the stationary ring with cooling water. When the medium temperature exceeds 170℃, a mechanical seal with a built-in threaded pump can be selected and equipped with an external heat exchanger. The cooled pumped medium is used to flush the sealing end face, which greatly extends the service life of the mechanical seal.

7. Reinforced bearings are selected, and the volume of the lubricating oil tank and lubricating oil cooling chamber is increased, extending the service life of the bearings;

8. The latest three-dimensional impeller hydraulic design is highly efficient and has good cavitation resistance, making it suitable for use as a condensate pump.
